The Hope of Giving

I don’t celebrate Christmas in a traditional sense, but I love it! I love the lights, the music, the promise of a miracle. I love to believe in Santa and snow (oh snow, where art thou?) and I love to give gifts. I seriously love to give gifts more than to receive them.

And I am so lucky this Christmas Season, because in less than one week like a small miracle, our staff, volunteers, donors, supporters, aka Olga’s List Team raised funds to buy and delivered individually wrapped sports toys, books, clothes, table games, computer equipment and accessories, specialty food (like gluten free cookies), arts and crafts supplies, board games, fine art paint and mediums, clay and modeling compounds and ceramics equipment and accessories, clothing, Gift certificates, backpacks, notebooks, puzzles, Twisters, Video games, phone headsets, posters, pencils, paper, jewelry, markers, smart watches, baby supplies and toys for 89 Ukrainian kids!!!

And now that thank yous and the pictures of the smiling kids are pouring in!

I know we need to do a lot more work to make sure kids everywhere continue to smile, but this small miracle we can create gives me hope that someday all children will have smiles and peace in their home, in their country, in their world.

With hope,

Olga
